About Jerod Langness
I have been in the fitness industry since 2000. During this time, I have earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, a master's degree in Advanced Golf Performance, Injury Prevention, and Performance Enhancement. I have also received certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Master Trainer, Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist, Behavior Change Specialist, Golf Fitness Specialist, and Weight Loss Specialist. I am also certified with the Brookbush Institute as a Human Movement Specialist as well as Certified Personal Trainer. I am also a National Association of Speed and Explosion (NASE) Certified Speed Specialist and Animal Flow Level One Instructor. I have worked with hundreds of athletes of all walks of life. I am also an instructor for Life Time Academy, helping others begin their careers as fitness professionals. I have also managed fitness departments at three different locations. I have written blogs and articles for Life Time, NASM, and American Fitness Magazine.
I am a people person. I have learned over the years that I need people and do my best work interacting with others. Through an intense and traumatic episode in my life where I lost my best friend and sustained life-changing injuries, I learned that my calling was to help people. Over the years I learned that I felt the most rewarded when I improved the lives of others physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I have learned that I am a natural leader when I am helping others with what I am passionate and gifted in delivering. I am patient and encouraging to both students wanting to learn and clients/athletes wanting to improve their health and performance. I can see the big picture of long-term goals as well as comprehend how to make acute changes to keep people on track. I am a positive person that is grateful for the journey, understand trials help me grow, wins can be celebrated, and knowledge that there is still more to learn.
